Liver metastasis – US
Liver metastasis. This patient has a history of lung cancer. This ultrasound image of the left lobe of liver (outlined by the arrows) shows an echogenic (or ‘hyperechoic’) mass in the liver. This was a metastasis. Liver metastases can be hyperechoic or, more commonly, hypoechoic on ultrasound.
