Meniscal tear

Meniscal tear. This patient’s MRI knee shows abnormal linear high signal in the medial meniscus (arrow), indicating a tear. MRI has a very high sensitivity and specificity for meniscal tears, and is routinely performed prior to considering knee arthroscopy.
