Obstructing bladder TCC
Bladder cancer. This is an example of transitional cell carcinoma. In this case, an IVP was performed because of haematuria. This delayed image shows that most of the contrast has left the right kidney, but there is a delay in excretion on the left, with hydronephrosis and a dilated ureter. The cause is the filling defect in the left side of the bladder (arrows), which is obstructing the vesicoureteric junction. Biopsy was performed at cystoscopy and confirmed TCC.
