Olecranon fracture

These typically occur following a fall directly onto the elbow. The triceps tendon inserts onto the olecranon therefore these fractures will tend to be pulled away from the rest of the ulna; as you’d expect, internal fixation is required. You can see the post-ORIF result on the right here.
