Proctitis – CT

Proctitis. This patient presented with abdominal pain and bloody diarrhoea. The contrast-enhanced CT image shows diffuse thickening of the wall of the rectum (yellow arrows). There is also some inflammatory change in the adjacent fat, represented by haziness of the normally hypodense fat and some prominent blood vessels (white arrow). Biopsy confirmed ulcerative colitis.
